I chose the brindle pup. We have named her Zilla. Since the puppies were born during the lunar eclipse in February, I wanted to name her something that had to do with eclipses or the moon. I didn’t want to name her Luna or Eclipse, though. So I went online and searched around for names and meanings, and found that Zilla is Hebrew for Shadow. A Lunar Eclipse is the shadow of the earth on the moon, and well, it stuck. And we sometimes call her Dogzilla, which is fun, too. I just hope she doesn’t turn out to be a monster.
We’re trying to crate train her, and so far she hates it. She is really young, though (only six and a half weeks – the mother started being aggressive and mean, so the pups are going early). Somehow I forgot that puppies are really just poop and chew machines that happen to be incredibly cute and cuddly and sometimes noisy. We love her even if she poops six or more times a day.
In other news I was just in L.A. for a week for work and I am really kinda jet lagged. It’s hard to get up at 7 when your body thinks it’s 4. Having the puppy helps!
I’m sure there will be many puppy photos in the near future, and maybe a slide show from L.A., although I didn’t take many pictures while I was there.
